Structured data

Product structured data checked across your whole catalogue

Testing one URL proves one URL. Patterns live at catalogue scale.

Google offers a rich results test that checks a single page. That is useful for a spot check and useless for finding the template bug that affects one category. Webshop Vitals validates Product, Offer and related markup on every product page it crawls, then reports the pattern instead of the page.

Free scan, no credit card, results in minutes.

What most product pages publish

  • Product name and one image
  • No Offer block, so no price is machine readable
  • Brand implied by the logo rather than stated
  • No shipping or return details in data

The problem

Structured data problems are template problems

Product markup is generated by a theme or a plugin, so when it is wrong it is wrong in the same way on hundreds of pages. Checking a homepage or a single best seller tells you nothing about the category whose template was never updated.

  • Rich results that appear for some products and not others
  • Markup that validates but carries the wrong values
  • Missing Offer blocks on variant pages only
  • Structured data that was correct before a theme update

What we check

Inside the product structured data checker

Every check below runs on your real store and reports findings you can act on, with the affected products named.

  • Product entity completeness

Name, image, description, brand, SKU and identifier fields checked for presence and for type.

  • Offer validity

Price, currency, availability and price validity checked as a complete Offer rather than as loose fields.

  • ProductGroup and variants

Whether variant pages describe their relationship, so search engines group them correctly.

  • Shipping and returns markup

Machine readable delivery and return details, which Google now surfaces directly in results.

  • Duplicate and conflicting blocks

Pages that emit two different Product entities, usually from a plugin and a theme both trying to help.

  • Parse failures

Markup that is present but malformed, which search engines silently discard.

How it works

Three steps from question to answer

No plugin to install, no code to add, and nothing to change on your store.

  1. 1

    Crawl product pages

Discovered from your sitemaps and your internal links, including nested sitemap indexes.

  2. 2

    Parse every block

JSON-LD, microdata and RDFa, with malformed blocks reported rather than skipped.

  3. 3

    Report by pattern

Findings show how many products share a problem, so you fix a template once.

The report

What this check looks like in your dashboard

Findings land next to the score they moved and the products they affect, so a result always has somewhere to go next.

What you get

What changes after the first scan

Concrete outputs, not a grade with no next step.

  • Template level problems found from a pattern across pages
  • A copyable example of correct markup for your own product
  • Shipping and return fields flagged while competitors still omit them
  • Confidence that markup is not silently discarded

Questions

Product Structured Data Checker questions, answered

The things merchants ask before they run their first scan.

It is not required when you submit a feed, but it matters more than most merchants expect. Google crawls your landing page to verify the feed, and complete markup is how free listings, rich results and AI shopping surfaces read your catalogue without a feed at all.
